Teen Arts Puentes Project: Behind the Mask

This semester the students of the Teen Arts Puentes Project dare to go behind the mask!
DATE: December 15, 2012
WHERE: Guadalupe Theater
TIME: 7 p.m.

Masks have been used for centuries as disguises, for performance, for ritual or ceremony and practical masks are used by medical professionals, factory workers, painters, emergency responders and athletes.

Whether it is a daily make-up routine, or simply painting on a smile to hide you are upset, we adapt a mask that helps us move through the world. What is building up behind that mask? When you use your mask to hide the bad, does it ever go away? Embark on this journey with us to experience the freedom that comes when we are able to take our masks off and just be.
