Fall Semester begins Tuesday, September 4 (after Labor Day holiday)

Location: Galería Guadalupe, 723 S. Brazos SA TX 78207

All classes are subject to change.

Registration Fee: $25. Tuition Fee: $45 per month

 

Mexican Folklórico Dance

Students develop coordination, balance, stamina, posture, grace and discipline.  All students will be introduced to different regions, costuming and music of traditional Mexican Folklórico dance.

 

Folkloritos: Ages 4 – 6
Wednesdays 4:00 – 5:00 pm

Tuition: $25 per month

Folklorico Basics: Ages 6 – 9

Mondays & Wednesdays 5:00 – 6:00 pm

Folklorico I: Ages 9 – 13
Mondays & Thursdays 6:00 – 7:00 pm

Flamenco Dance Classes

Students learn basics of flamenco dance including rhythms, footwork, and armwork. Intermediate level classes progress to more challenging technique and choreography.

 

Flamenco Basics: Ages 6 – 9
Mondays & Wednesdays 4:00 – 5:00 pm

DANCE Class Attire:

Boys must wear a black or white fitted t-shirt, workout pants or shorts and black Folklorico boots. Girls must wear a black leotard, tights, Folklorico skirt (any color) and/or Flamenco skirt and black shoes. Hair MUST be in a bun.

Guadalupe Academy Rules

  1. No gum, food or drinks allowed in the classroom.
  2. No parents or visitors allowed in the classroom.
  3. Please arrive 10 minutes before class time.
  4. Please inform the instructor of any absences or tardiness that may occur.
  5. Students are responsible for keeping the classroom clean.
  6. Students are not allowed in the classroom unless their instructor is present.
  7. Dancers must dress in proper dance attire for class.
  8. Music student must bring their own instrument.
