No Registration Fee for current Guadalupe members ($65 Familia Level)

Mexican Folklórico Dance Classes

Students develop coordination, stamina, posture, grace and discipline and will be introduced to different regions in traditional Mexican Folklorico dance. All classes are subject to change.

Folkloritos: Ages 4 – 6

Flamenco Dance Classes

Students learn basics of flamenco dance including rhythms, footwork, and armwork. Intermediate level classes progress to more challenging technique and choreography.

*Students will need to bring an old pair of non-canvas tennis shoes that can be screwed onto the stilts.

Dance Class Attire:

Folklorico and Flamenco: Girls must wear a black leotard, tights, Folklorico skirt (any color) and/or Flamenco skirt and black shoes. Hair MUST be in a bun. Boys must wear a black or white fitted t-shirt, workout pants or shorts and black Folklorico boots.

Stilt walking: Comfortable workout pants and top. You will need to bring an old pair of non-canvas tennis shoes that you no longer use. They will be screwed onto the stilts. High tops tennis shoes or boots are recommended for extra support. You will also need a good pair of knee pads with a plastic knee cap. Look for sturdy knee pads used for roller derby not volley ball. Please have hair pulled back away from the face. A small towel is also recommended.

Guadalupe Academy Rules

  • No gum, food or drinks allowed in the classroom.
  • No parents or visitors allowed in the classroom.
  • Please arrive 10 minutes before class time.
  • Please inform the instructor of any absences or tardiness that may occur.
  • Students are responsible for keeping the classroom clean.
  • Students are not allowed in the classroom unless their instructor is present.
  • Dancers must dress in proper dance attire for class.
  • Music student must bring their own instrument.
