FANTASTIC FUERZAS/FORCES: September 16 - November 20, 2010

Curator: Patty Ortiz

Fantastic Fuerzas/Forces investigates the integration of comics into contemporary artistic practice. For many Latino artists, it is a way to discuss pop culture's mainstream choices. For others, it is a way to discuss America's mass media manipulation into marginal worlds. A common thread is the universal dive into humor, commerciality, and sociological fronts, resulting in sometimes-confrontational questions regarding our future.
