Events Manager

The Events Manager provides comprehensive project coordination with focus on revenue goal achievement for the GCAC’s many events including festivals, annual gala event, and all other cultivation events. The Events Manager researches and builds proposals to attain corporate sponsorships for all events and works closely with GCAC program staff, board of directors, volunteer committee, development & marketing staff, as well as the Executive Director, and all event production vendors, to plan and implement events year round. Typical duties include representing the Development Department on event committees; creating task lists, status reports and budget projections; contacting and soliciting current and prospective event sponsors; coordinating the Silent Auction; and managing advertising (printed journal) and communications.

At least two years experience in non-profit fundraising/development and/or special event management. Must be well organized and detail oriented, and have ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines. Experience dealing successfully with donors and/or customers; has worked on project teams or in a team environment. Experience
working with project or department budgets preferred. Experience with MS Office; Filemaker Pro a plus.
