Please keep GCAC in mind as you donate this holiday season

Dear Friends,

On behalf of the Guadalupe Cultural Arts Center, I would like to thank you for your generous contributions to our organization in the past. Your support has truly made possible the success of our year round arts and cultural programming. As we approach the end of 2015, please keep the Guadalupe in mind when considering how to give back to your community.

This has been an exciting period of change and growth for the Guadalupe. With new leadership in place and a bold vision for the Guadalupe’s future coming into focus, we’ve added dynamic newcomers to our staff and launched a new membership group to appeal to young professionals. We’ve revived and strengthened our performance series at the Guadalupe Theater, hosting a series of high-quality performances, events and screenings. Our Galería hosted an impressive exhibition of acclaimed Chicano artist Mel Casas’ work. San Antonio Poet Laureate Laurie Ann Guerrero, who has joined our staff as Literary Arts Director, read from her book, A Crown for Gumecindo, along with guest poet Tim Z. Hernandez. In addition, our education and community programs are going strong as always, as shown by our strong class enrollment and the very well attended Día de los Muertos celebration and altar exhibition.

As you know, our organization counts on donations and in-kind contributions from individuals and businesses each year to ensure that we can continue to serve San Antonio as the nation’s largest multidisciplinary, community-based Latino arts organization. The GCAC dedicates itself to cultivating, promoting and preserving traditional and contemporary Latino, Chicano and Native American art and culture through multidisciplinary programming.

You can support the arts and culture in San Antonio and the Westside by making a one-time or recurring donation to the Guadalupe. The Guadalupe Cultural Arts Center is a 501-c-3 non-profit corporation and the value of your contribution is fully tax-deductible, as you will not receive goods or services in exchange.

¡Muchas gracias por su apoyo!

Jerry Ruiz
Executive Director
