The
Guadalupe Cultural Arts Center has a staff of arts professionals
and support personnel; however, many of the events conducted
by the Center require hundreds of individuals each year
to donate their time in making the events successful. The Tejano
Conjunto Festival en San Antonio alone requires more than
four thousand hours of volunteer support to sell tickets
and beverages, to assist the performing groups on and off
the stage, and to perform a myriad of required tasks that
make the logistics possible. Events at the Guadalupe Theater
require volunteers to staff the ticket booth, the concession
stand and serve as ushers.
There is a pool of more than 500
volunteers who perform volunteer services regularly. An additional
500 volunteers assist the Center at its various events and
festivals. In all, the Guadalupe Cultural Arts Center has
a total of more than 1,400 volunteers who donate more than
30,000 hours of service. These in-kind services,valued at
more than $100,000 contribute to the synergy and success
