El Campo Scare
Sacred
Site Where Two Worlds Collide Under Stars, Moon,
and Sky
Dia de Los Muertos en el campo santo (cemetery) is a
mystical,
sacred site. It is the ephemeral space where the
metaphysical
and the secular worlds coalesce behind a
smoke screen of
copal as the scent of cempasuchitl lays heavy
in the air.
Join us as we recreate the illusion of el campo sacre in
our beautiful Galerìa Tonantzin in the Guadalupe
School of the
Visual Arts. Experience the wandering musicians
courtesy of
Conjunto Taller as they serenade the various
decorated tombs.
El Campo Sacre's Mexican Indigenous
origins collide
with the present to create a contemporary
experience.
